“The State Room was a nice place to stay. The neighborhood is residential, with a nearby renovated mill that contains a local brewery about 2 blocks away. The neighborhood begs to be explored for the local businesses and historical buildings. Parking is on the street. The neighborhood is to fairly quiet except for a small local tavern that closes at 1:00 am. But the neighborhood is quiet in less than hour. I would definitely stay again.”

“Hosts Doug and his wife were great! Friendly and very accommodating. The loft is spotless and comfortable furniture. Large hammock. Great clean bathroom and shower. Location to Newport and other attractions is super easy. Would highly recommend. ”

“Even though this is a third floor, it was very easy to manage with frequent landings. My significant other is 84 years old and he did just fine. The apartment is nicely decorated in each room. Plenty of hot water. My only two wishes were firstly,check out time could be later so we could get up leisurely and make breakfast. Also would have liked an extra throw for the bed.Definitely will return.”

“We were in Newport for a wedding - same timing as Boat Show. We stayed in Portsmouth and it was PERFECT!!!!!!! Sunset Cove restaurant was just across the street - breakfast was great and lunch outside - bar, live music - spectacular. We weren't in the Apartment that much but when we were it was GREAT!!!!!”

“I recently stayed here while working in the area for a few days. The place is clean and in a fantastic location. Lots of good dinner options to go to in-person (walking or quick drive) or order in. Also very close to water and bike path if you want more than sidewalk exercise. Owners were very responsive via text and email and addressed any questions I had very quickly. Despite working in Taunton, I chose to stay here (45 minutes away) because of the location--access to water and……

“My 3 sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carolyn’s place. It’s spacious and so conveniently located right across from beautiful Onset Beach. We had a two hour delay getting in to the house, so Carolyn graciously offered to extend our check out time by 2 hours. We loved the village of Onset and enjoyed the local restaurants. Overall, a wonderful experience! ”
