“After a long, exhausting drive from the East, my family & I arrived in Akureyri around 1:00 am. We were completely exhausted after driving from the South & just ready to get some rest. However, our check-in hit a small bump -- we were given the wrong code to our apartment & couldn’t get in. Thankfully, when I called the staff, he responded quickly & provided a new code. “Staff are generally nice and friendly, there is a bar downstairs which serves good food, many locals came for dinner so is quite vibrant if you would like to mingle with people from different counties. However the room does not include duvet which means you either have to rent one (1100 isk) or bring your own sleeping bag. You will have to bring your luggage upstairs too.”

“Good location, walkable distance to restaurants and city center. Limited parking could be a problem for late check ins. Door codes were convenient, easy check in and entry. Shared kitchen was fully equipped. Spacious room but there was a stain in the ceiling which could be potentially a leak upstairs, hopefully they will fix it. The shower was a bit small, the curtain wraps around you when it gets wet. Plastic shower curtain might be a better fit. Good stay in general, spacious room. Laundry……
