“We had a lovely weekend at the Verdie May House. It's a tiny place, but full of charm. As long as you know you're staying at a small historic house, you shouldn't be surprised by the creaky floors, steep stairs and ability to hear each other in separate rooms - all part of the experience! “The cabin was clean and had a gorgeous view of the river! The scent of the cabin was strong for my taste (woody? Candles? Not sure). There is not much to do in nearby areas but my goal was to stay near new river gorge park not to be in a place with lots to do, so this was perfect! Only downside is proximity to the train tracks. Train is very loud as it passes, but I would stay there again! I ran into the host’s son walking his dog as I was leaving because he lives nearby and he was so kind and……

“Well my daughter and I went on a little West Virginia mountain adventure to do some mountain photography and enjoy the color change and boy did we have an excellent stay!!! The property was just perfect for us, the color changes on the leaves were gorgeous the fire pit was great we did lots of cooking in the very well appointed kitchen and enjoyed being away from it all! Amy was an incredible host and went out of her way to make our stay so enjoyable. She was so easy to communicate with and……
