“We had a lovely weekend at the Verdie May House. It's a tiny place, but full of charm. “The cabin was clean and had a gorgeous view of the river! The scent of the cabin was strong for my taste (woody? Candles? Not sure). There is not much to do in nearby areas but my goal was to stay near new river gorge park not to be in a place with lots to do, so this was perfect! Only downside is proximity to the train tracks. Train is very loud as it passes, but I would stay there again! I ran into the host’s son walking his dog as I was leaving because he lives nearby and he was so kind and……
