“We had a wonderful Christmas week here. Very convenient location Comfortable for 6 adults. Cooked most of our meals here and had plenty of supplies. It rained while we were here so we did not get to enjoy the decks and outdoor area but it would be so fun when the weather cooperated. Redwoods are amazing!”

The kitchen was well set up with everything we needed for a family meal. Some really thoughtful touches and little luxuries like a heated bathroom floor! “Willowhaven is a fantastic cabin-in-the-woods getaway destination. The interior is a little dated, and the bedroom carpet is stained, but the house is clean. The bed was extremely comfy. There is a pull-through gravel driveway. Self-check-in was a breeze. Unfortunately, I had an interruption in plans and was only at the property for about 24 hours. I arrived late afternoon, showered, slept, left for the day, came back, packed, and left, therefore I have nothing more helpful to add to this……

“The cottage is the perfect spot for some quality solo time - I used it for a writing retreat and it was ideal. I spent a week by the fire writing, did a puzzle, did some painting, made a lot of tea, and went on lots of walks (Islands in the Sea is a great hike!). The nights were cool but I was toasty - fantastic bed and heater when the fireplace was off. It would be nice to have a couple bits of instruction written down on how to turn the fireplace on (host provided via message) and how to work……

“It’s a perfect escape for a couple, a beautiful setting and very intimate. A couple of things that are good to know: the bathroom doors are louvered, so if you are not already on comfortable bathroom habit status with your person, this might change that! As other reviews have noted, the bed is fairly hard. Two nights would be my maximum. And if you are at all pillow picky and are wondering if you should bring your own, you should. It was a beautiful peaceful place and we had a wonderful time.……

“The Attic was very impressive. You are surrounded by trees and it almost feels like a comfy, cozy treehouse. Russ was a great host and solved a little check-in issue without any drama and we had an amazing time. The place is completely outfitted with everything you would need and has lots of beautiful and thoughtful touches. The location was perfect for us to get out and about in nature and we enjoyed hikes. redwoods and the Russian River. You ae also in the heart of one of the best wine areas……
