“This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall. ”

“Lovely escape from the rush of work life. Quiet escape into nature and lake calmness. Fall leaves were perfect for our stay. Comfortable beds, well supplied kitchen and bathroom. “We had a wonderful stay. Dan and Norah were easy and timely to communicate with. All questions answered quickly and they were very willing to make sure the stay was everything we hoped it would be. The views and privacy are very nice. The home is comfortable - both fireplaces inside work nicely, and furniture is very comfortable. Location is nice - quiet, yet only 15 minutes from multiple towns for food, drinks, activities. We'd definitely go back in the future!”

“My wife and I own a very reactive dog that loves to explore the outside but hates cars and other dogs. This property was excellent. Tons of open space he could roam off leash on a beautiful little lake. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors with him. Highly recommend if you want a quiet place to stay for the weekend.”
