“This cabin was amazing! It was a simple one bed bath that was just big enough for two! We rented this since it was close to our friends wedding venue and I am absolutely blown away by it. Its close to a beautiful lake that has a small dock you can fish from, a few small hiking trails, and a personal apple orchard. Its down a long dirt road away from city lights so the view of the night sky is stunning. Theres a nice out door fire pit and a wood burning stove inside as well. Two big windows that……

“The property has everything you need to feel right at home! Great separation from other cottages. It's on a lake and has a pontoon for rental. Owners are awesome. We'll definitely return.”

“The little cabin was so cute, well maintained and offered everything for cooking. The outdoor dining and grill area is perfect. Check in was as easy as driving in and parking. We arrived when it was very hot but all the windows opened to a wonderful lake breeze. There was good fishing right off the dock and plenty of lake to explore with the kayaks. Not too far into town we found a public beach for swimming, a place to rent a boat and a bar with tasty walleye and ribs. As an added bonus there……

“This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall. ”

Quick and easy check in, being able to rent their pontoon for 2 days, including to watch the fireworks Friday night, and all of their help with getting in and out of the dock, made our vacation a wonderful time.
