“The Good Life was perfect. It is exactly as it looks in the photos. We enjoyed the well-appointed interior and sat outside in the afternoon sun with a glass of wine after our excursions to neighbouring towns and villages. BTW, the location is excellent for exploring the area. Rieux Minervois is a small town with a great boulangerie down the road (walking distance), good Italian restaurant across the road, and a local wine co-op. There's also a small market on Saturdays. We weren't sure about……

“Très belle et grande propriété au calme. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Les salles de bains très belles. Nous étions 12 adultes et 5 enfants entre 4 et 10 ans. La maison est très bien équipée. C'était parfait. ”

“We are a family of 5, with 3 teens. We had so much space in really clean and comfortable surroundings. Communication was excellent and Martine and Jean were good hosts. The pool area with outdoor kitchen was lovely and peaceful and the garage with ping pong a treat! Would recommend to families or groups. We would return ( and remember all our belongings next time! - thank you Martine!) ”

“Long time friends joined my wife and I for 4 nights at this comfy apartment. We enjoyed the views of the old town from the back terrace and garden, especially at night. It is an uphill climb to visit the old town but the access point is very convenient. The apartment itself is very comfortable, while compact, and easily accommodated four of us. Street parking was limited but we found places close to the unit every day. Communication with our host David was excellent. Our only suggestion……

“Friendly and obliging hosts. Gire adequately equipped, in a quiet location close to amenities, Castlenaudry and the Canal du Midi. Airconditioning a boon in the smmer heat.”

“This gite is a lovely place to stay, nestled in a very quiet and pretty rural location. The home is next to a stream, with woodland and hills all around. You can go for a great walk straight from the front door, and there is a pleasant garden to sit in and enjoy the peace. The home itself is well furnished and cosy, and Patrick was very helpful and friendly for check in and any issues we had.”

“Beautiful and cherished family home. All rooms a good size with en suite showers, fewer toilets as expected with a house this age but plumbing works very well. Very well equipped kitchen and pleasant outdoor BBQ area. House is well situated for road transport and supermarket. There are plenty of activities for family groups; we recommend Halle de La machines, rafting at Axat, caving all within 1.5 hours drive. The pool is situated a short walk from the main house so younger kids will need……
