“My Family had a small reunion at Portage Lake. The cabin ended up being the perfect meeting spot. We had dinner there every night. The grill and burners outside were perfect for a clambake and grilling. We sat by the fire pit, with the children fishing, riding bikes and making smores. “My wife and I booked this cabin to watch the April 8th, 2024 total solar eclipse. This was one of the best vacation decisions of our life, we thought we may have to hike a bit, but we were so pleased we could see it right from the deck of the cabin. The land is big and spacious, you don't see any neighbors. The cabin is tucked into the back of the parcel at the end of a lovely field and woods trail. It was so cozy, private and QUIET. “My friend and I enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen is well equipped and has a comfortable dining area—lots of big TVs. My only complaint is the mattresses were too firm for both of us. Also best to rent this directly through Evolve - VRBO charges an extra fee! That was disappointing.”
