Standard of accommodation was terrific with an emphasis on attention to detail. Would highly recommend the full English breakfast. I'll definitely add this hotel to my favourites list. 10/10 ”

“Nice overnight stay...comfortable room with comfy large bed. Bar shut at 9pm which was disapointing, Breakfast wasnt the best, but staff were friendly and polite. ”

“Brilliant Pub, Amazing staff and Stunning Surroundings. We only stayed for 2 nights but would of loved to stay longer. Staff were attentive and welcoming. We were very impressed by our room which was extremely spacious with a large shower room and even a sauna in the room. Our Bed was so comfy and the pub was full of friendly locals. We were slightly worried when we arrived as there was limited parking spaces for the hotel itself however immediately next door was a huge public carpark which was……

“If you like a real log fire on a cold night, cosy and clean accommodation, charming hosts and a good hearty breakfast, this is the place for you! Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to get a real feel and understanding of the local area. The garden is a real treat! ”

“The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and well equipped. It was ideally situated for touring around the area, and even though the apartment was in the town, it was quiet and only a few minutes walk to shops and eating places. The owner was quick to respond to a query we had, and gave us useful information prior to our visit. A relaxing and enjoyable stay, plenty of places to visit and local walks. ”

“This is basically a 'pub with rooms'. But the rooms are exceptionally nice. Lovely big bed without the join down the middle (you know what I mean - two singles bolted together...), comfy chairs and a lovely soft carpet (I said it was the little things). But while I'm on the subject, proper mugs, proper glasses (not plastic cups), and decent biscuits (not the standard ones that all hotels seem to have). Food in the restaurant? Pub grub - but very well cooked. Good wine list too. All in all,……

“Check in was 15:00. I arrived at 16:20 and the room was still not ready. I complained to the woman at the bar which serves as the reception, she apologised, asked me if I wanted a drink while I waited and then tried to charge me for it! Not a good start to my stay. However, the room itself was lovely, clean, comfortable, modern and stylish. Extremely good value for the price and literally opposite the train station. Entry to the hotel is via an app you have to download, but it worked well……

“Great location. The hotel is almost next door to the railway station. The room is clean, warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no lift and the staircase is very narrow, which made carrying four suitcases upstairs a real challenge.”

The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple.
