“The home is a decent distance off the highway but the scenery you'll see while driving to it are gorgeous. On the first day, we saw 3 deer and 2 rabbits! The driveway is very steep and made of gravel, so keep that in mind when choosing what vehicle to bring. If it has been raining, your tires may slip a bit going up. Upon arrival, the views are stunning and my dog had a blast running around the open yard. There was a cat lounging on the deck (Not sure if it belongs to the home or a neighbor,……

“We stayed for just on night. The cabin was nice, it's a nice old cabin, floors were squeaky and loud, but I guess that added to the charm. The only complaint is the twin beds were as hard as a rock, felt like laying on plywood. Seeing the devastation in the area was also heartbreaking. The location was perfect for us to enjoy our family in Grassy Creek.”

“The listing states "step back in time" and that certainly sets the tone. If you are looking for a place to stay where peace and nature are the main features, look no further. Nice accommodations, plenty of heat sources to help you stay warm, kitchen is fairly well stocked with pots, pans, spices, oils to help make meals with. I personally loved the that there was a new kitchen sponge waiting for me (it's the little things). Back porch is covered with a tin roof. We sat out there for over an hour……

“Stayed here while visiting family in the area. Very nice and roomy. Great backyard right on the river. Beautiful screened in porch. Hope to rent again!”

“We loved the cabin, it was spotless, very clean. The only problem we had was the glade plug-ins, they were very strong to the point that we were not able to stay the night. We went and had dinner and came back and put our luggage in the truck and had to leave. Our eyes, throat and nose were burning, and my husband developed a headache. If not for that we would have stayed the night. The cabin was great, just way too much fragrance. ”
