“Great hostel experience with location right on the beach. All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal for watching sunrises, getting to el yunque, exploring Fajardo and quickly accessing the vieques ferry and escaping the hoards in OSJ. It is a hostel… so bathrooms are shared and noise is expected in communal areas but even when crowded this was minimal. Easy to walk to great restaurants (strongly suggest CFood in LaPared containers…a 10min walk) and home safely”

“The property is new so very clean. Short walk to the beach and food/drinks. They sell mixed drinks and food at the beach. Umbrella/chair rental are avail at the beach; very reasonable. There are bathrooms for a small fee. A car rental is necessary, not much nearby. Uber was not reasonable. Food at the hotel was good. Not much shade at the pool. They need more umbrellas in the pool area. They give you beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach but they are not in very good shape but doable. ”

“This hotel is a real gem. We needed a place to stay in Luquillo before getting the ferry a day later to Vieques. The hotel was clean, perfectly situated to enjoy Luquillo restaurants and bars, and the owner responded to questions very quickly. Really could not have been happier with The Surfing Turtle! ”

“I stayed at this location for 4 days. It was super quiet so I enjoyed the sounds of the coqui every night. Im so exited that suites will be available soon since the rooms were too small for me. There were no big mirrors and overall too small for us. ”

“The hosts are not on the property but very easy to communicate with. The place is small but very charming. The property is quite picturesque. Room was clean and cool . "Overall it's a good experience, I can honestly say that The ocean front room view is amazing and worthy of every single penny!!!! Something I recommend is to rent a car so you can always go outside and eat in local restaurant. The restaurants inside the resort is overprice, breakfast food is good and the restaurant Nectar is good. Other restaurant is not worth it. Besides pricey dining, staff that works in the resort are super super friendly and nice!!! Which is also boost my experience. So I will definitely recommend stay here for the beach view and relaxation. The ocean front view is 10/10, Hospitality is 8/10. Overall experience including room service and cleaning is like a 7.5/10. My bed sheets had some stain, and when I order room service, instead of a proper full experience room service cart, They just gave us like to go boxes and some plastic forks and spoons, I kinda was expecting a more formal luxury room service experience. "
