“As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. ”

“The amenities on Travelocity site does not match the amenities Vacasa sends to you after you book. No washer, no (working?) central heating (1 electric oil heater on wheels provided). Safety lists deadbolt lock but only 2 of 5 doors have a deadbolt, 2 doors have no locks or latches. Several windows also don't have locks. A mini-fridge, coffeemaker and microwave oven do not make this a "Studio" in the sense that I understand that word (i.e., a one-room apartment with kitchen and bath). “Riverwatch is a wonderful home near the Maine Botanical Gardens. We stay in Boothbay often and this is one of the nicest properties we have stayed at. It was immaculate and had all the amenities you could ask for. We enjoyed cooking our Thanksgiving dinner in the beautiful kitchen. The management crew even left us a Thanksgiving dinner setup. “Lovely place for a couple and a child. Master bedroom was lovely. Water would not allow bathing but shower was ok in hall bath. The downstairs sleeping for two adults was a little difficult. Would have been nice to know upfront that the water was not potable. Nice touches with the set dining table and toiletries. View is amazing.”
