“When you walk in the place, it is a warm cozy atmosphere. A large container of hot, delicous soup awaits you, along with lemmonade, coffee and ice cream. The place is very clean, very close to Route 95 and Orono/Bangor. You knew you were in Maine when you checked into this place. Wondeful find”

“The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.”

“Staff were friendly and courteous. Very well kept facility, some of which dates back over a hundred years. Decorations include items from that same period. ”

“The check in staff person was very nice! The free hot breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff were also very nice. All the chain hotels around there were at least $100 more per night. Great value!”

“Staff were pleasant and helpful at our 10pm arrival. Room was spacious and clean. A cot was delivered within minutes of request. Breakfast had a decent assortment of choices and coffee was fresh. Well done Hampton Inn as usual. ”
