“Great hotel, location staff always great!”

“I was there for only 1 night. Everyone working there was really nice. The room had mix of updates and vintage touches that I really liked. There was a table with 2 chairs for eating or working. The wifi was excellent for a Zoom call that I had in the evening. I appreciated the option of opening a screened window for fresh air. ”

“I liked everything about this place. No hot breakfast but they loaded you up with muffins, snacks, coffee, etc. Probably $20 of carry out food. Staff was terrific. Has laundromat on site. Beds were great, rooms updated nicely. ”

“I had never stayed in such a unique historical property. The rooms were the largest of any hotel I have had, beds comfortable, clean, staff was friendly, mountains in the back of the property, even the soap smelled wonderful. ”

“The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.”

“Very poor and unkind reception attendants. Didn’t tell us anything about WiFi or breakfast or where anything was. We were traveling on vacation and this was our worst stay in the whole northeast !”

“I wanted a clean, convenient place for one night that didn't break the bank. This was perfect EXCEPT - I decided also because it had transportation and that was only to the airport - I had to go to the hospital and could not find a taxi etc... to get there. Might be nice to have a backup plan if a traveler is in a hard spot at 0530 AM, no taxi available. Staff did try and help. ”

“The White House inn exceeded my expectations. It is located in a rough, truck stop area. BUT, the lobby, rooms, restaurant and amenities were all very good. Excellent breakfast was included. The pool and spa were good, maybe not the best location for the pool. It's in the middle of the parking lot. However, we enjoyed it overall. ”
