Very nice deck with lots of comfortable chairs for freighter watching. The owner is always making improvements. It’s a pleasure to visit.”

“There's not much to do on sugar island other than enjoy time with each other. Cook a bunch of food and enjoy the peace and quiet. Have a campfire and if that makes you happy. This is the perfect stay. We love it at the sugar suite.”

“Very clean and quiet. You can get a glimpse of Lake Superior from the main room. There were 4 of us (adults 60+). The 2nd floor is the living area, so there is a lot of stair climbing every day, and one of us actually took a fall. Although there are two bathrooms, one is is the basement/garage. ”
