“We had a fantastic view over Mbombela from our rooms (executive double). Large and well equipped rooms. Very clean. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Orange Restaurant on the premises is great, at reasonable prices. We are from Europe and visit Kruger National Park regularly. Loerie's is our preferred stop from or to O.R. Tampo airport in Johannesburg.”

“We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there……

“Only stayed one night and enjoyed it thoroughly. They accommodated a last-minute request for dinner, which was very tasty and delivered to my room. Breakfast was very good as well. “What a gem this place is. My room was as described and went beyond my expectations. We spent a week inside of Kruger National Park utilizing their cabins and bungalows so this was an outstanding respite. I definitely recommend it. The breakfast was great. ”

“The host were warm and friendly. Breakfasts were homemade, generous, very tasty and served at the time we requested each morning- Freshly squeezed orange juice and amazing fruit along with many other choices. The property is well maintained and interesting. It backs up against a nature preserve so it feel private. We'd happily stay here again!”
