“Excellent retreat!”

“A pet friendly home in a great location! We could easily walk to the downtown mall, to the corner or to grounds. We loved the space. One disclosure, there is not a lot of welcoming space to walk your dog for a quick trip outside, yoh have to walk down the street. ”

“We took our 18 yr old here on a trip of Virginia and NC. This house was perfectly located for the hikes and tubing activities we wanted to do. Skyline drive was cool even though it was foggy and drizzling on and off all day. Into Charlottesville one day for tubing on Rivanna river. So glad we have the washer and dryer. Super clean and had extra things like kleenex, coffe and shampoo. Really felt like home. ”

“A beautiful cabin and a responsive, helpful host. One thing I do want to call out is that the listing's callout that you should have AWD/4WD is somewhat underselling the challenge of a few of the hills and turns. It's a 1.6 mile, single lane gravel road to the property, with two sharp downhill (or uphill, when leaving) turns. The quality of one of the hills in particular has a lot of deep grooves, probably from people going up it in wetter weather, that can make navigating a little challenging.……

“The cabin was perfect for an overnight stay. It was so secluded and the woods were beautiful. We were able to walk to the winery/brewery down the road and spent a lovely night by the fire. We were comfortable sleeping in the cabin with the windows open. The farm was very cool although the llama (alpaca?) didn't seem to like me :) The owner was amazing and went above and beyond when we left something behind. Would definitely recommend as a unique overnight stay. ”

“Great location for historic sites or Shenandoah national park. Host is very responsive, great spot with plenty to keep you busy when you've finished for the day. Great set of games, pool, ping pong, puzzles, arcade games, snacks, coffee. Enjoyed the stay and will be back if we're in the area.”
