“Har bott på The Trout flera gånger tidigare och har alltid varit väldigt nöjd. Rykten vi hörde på byn sa att det blivit ny ägare och att det inte var lika bra längre. När vi kom dit så höll man på med renovering och vi blev initialt placerade i ett rum som inte alls motsvarade våra förväntningar. Personalen var som alltid tidigare helt fantastisk och de löste ett annat rum till oss. Även om det finns många bra matställen i Cockermouth så tycker jag att The Trout har riktigt bra mat, så vi åt de……

“Fantastic cottage, just 5 miles from Keswick. Small and quaint, everything you need for a week away. Kitchen well stocked, private outside area to sit and chill of an evening. To big bedrooms, one with an ensuite plus a main bathroom. Real value for money!! I would strongly recommend and stay! ”

“If you like to experience hospitality of the Lake District The Keswick Park Hotel and the town in general is for you! Clean rooms, great breakfast and restaurant for dinner, outdoor seating if weather is good, wonderful, friendly staff. Across the quiet street is beautiful Fitz Park with grass tennis courts, outdoor table tennis, colorful gardens and ice cream stand. Easy walking to several trail heads, center of town pubs, market, and lake. Bus accesses as well. A movie theater and playhouse……

“Amazing stay at a beautiful property. Just off the Coast to Coast walk, this hotel was a perfect place to recover from a long walk. And the all-day tea/coffee and scones was a lifesaver. The rooms were nice and the food was delicious. Could not recommend more. They even had a place to fill up water bottles/bladders next to a gear drying room, which was a nice touch. ”

“We have been staying in hotels around Derwentwater for in excess of 20 years. The Glaramara experience tops the lot! We will not be looking for an alternative hotel in future. The accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Much thought has gone into furnishing and decoration of the hotel interior. Everywhere was bright and spotlessly clean. But above all was the standard of service and friendliness of the staff. A fabulous hotel.”
