“A group of us came down to WV to go hunting and we stayed at the River Watch during our trip. One of the best things about the house was the large open basement to keep all of our gear. It made it nice to not have to worry if we were going to get the upstairs dirty while also saving a lot of space upstairs. The house was great and the location worked well for us.”

“This home was very peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked, there's a wood stove with wood on the back porch, and overall everything was really pleasant. I would only caution people who are sensitive to fragrance to perhaps skip this one. With best intentions, there were several products used to create a pleasant atmosphere but the combined effect was overwhelming. Host was accessible, friendly and accommodating. ”

“This was great for a getaway. We have family that live in the area and a couple of us live out of state. Normally when we get together it seems like there are always other distractions. This property has plenty of room so we could all gather at this property and enjoy each other's company without the distractions from ordinary life. “We very much enjoyed our stay which was booked for the Mountain State Forest Festival. It’s just a short drive to Elkins, so the house was conveniently located and the hosts provide a fully stocked kitchen, linens, and even a few games to play. Host was very accommodating. If you aren’t accustomed to sleeping on a bamboo pillow, you might consider bringing your own. This was a wonderful place stay - highly recommended! ”
