“My husband and I walked from the water taxi to the Great House Inn - hot but less than 8 minutes (with our luggage), so appreciated the location. Reception was on 2nd floor, but as soon as we got there, an attendant took all our luggage up. Receptionist was awesome and SUPER helpful. “The hotel had very little to no amenities. They had filtered water in the community kitchen. The room had a refrigerator and cable tv. The bed was comfortable. It's in walking distance to the ferry for caye caulker and San Pedro. They had a community refrigerator and microwave in kitchen. Staff were nice and helpful. “We went as a group of 3 girls. The hotel was comfortable and the balcony provided a beautiful view. Free wifi and toiletries for use. The area felt safe and everything to see (muesuem, cathedral, water taxi, restaurants) were all within a good walking distance. Locals were friendly and open to chat. “Nice shallow pool, exceptional front desk assistance. Location is convenient to the ocean, restaurants and some shops. But, besides the great coffee, the breakfast buffet needs work. French toast soggy, scrambled eggs watery. All in all I do plan to book another night here in the near future but we'd have to find another place for breakfast. ”
