“The place was ideal for myself and 4 friends. We were amazed at the view and sound of the ocean from the house. It was a comfortable house. We enjoyed the patio area every morning with our coffee. However we did have to go buy cooking oil, and salt for the kitchen but everything else we needed was available. We also bought cleaner and cleaned the scum off the bathtub and noticed dust bunnies and candy wrappers under at least one bed.Overall we loved the ocean view and location of the property.……

“We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. It was within walking distance of the beach and our friends rental on Pebble Beach Lane. My only recommendation would be that the owner get screens for the front windows and bedroom window. Otherwise very happy with our stay. “Best rental house on the Smith River! This was our 3rd or 4th time here and it's still our favorite rental house ever. Fully stocked with every possible thing you might need. The hosts are great and very helpful and the location is unique in that is has the best access of any rental house on the Smith River. Even my barely mobile 84 year-old mother-in-law could get down to the beach to watch us kayak and swim. My only tiny complaint is that the knives in the kitchen were almost too dull to use,……

“Cute little apartment, in a safe lovely neighborhood. I stay in Crescent City regularly for business and family trips, but this was a solo trip without my kids. I dislike the hotels in town so checked out this place. It was indeed a little Hideout. Cute cabin decor, kitchenette, living room where I could have a glass of wine with my family in town. The bedroom was large with a very comfortable bed. The grounds were wonderfully country with the requisite chickens, ducks and cat.……
