“Beautiful historic house set in peaceful countryside. The owners and staff were very friendly and attentive. We also booked the Sunday lunch which was delicious and spent the evening sitting by a log fire in a snug room with a cheeseboard and bottle of wine. Our bedroom was stunning. We only had an overnight stay but would love to go back for a longer stay one day.”

“A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. My husband is a severe asthmatic and is allergic to feathers. When we realised that the pillows and duvet were feather and spoke to the housekeeping staff, they went out of their way to help us. They changed all the bedding and ensured that there were no feathers in the room. Special thanks should go to Suzanne and the blond lady who organised this for us. “We were welcomed warmly by very friendly staff and the staff were very helpful throughout and very polite and kind, too. We weren't able to have breakfast, as we had booked, but were offered a generous afternoon meal on arrival as compensation. The room was perfectly normal and just as we anticipated. A nice touch was the toiletries (shower gel and shampoo) which seemed of very good quality indeed. We couldn't get the pub's WIFI in our room but that wasn't a big issue. One thing that would be……

“Stayed for a couple of nights. Room was a good size, bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and a good size too. Hotel is only a few steps away from the sea front and is well kept. Manager of the hotel is a hard working lady, who does her very best to enaure all guests are looked after. Room and hotel is self check in and plenty of parking either infront of the hotel, in the carpark a few steps away or there are 5 at the back of the property. “A nice hotel that is sensibly priced. Perfect for short stays when in the Grimsby area. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is verging towards excellent, but could be improved by the addition of smoked haddock with poached eggs, as well as kippers, to the menu. ”
