“Great location. Very old camp that was pretty clean despite the age...except for the carpeting. Walkway into the camp just an uphill, rocky path. Quite hazardous, especially if wet. Also challenging to get luggage up, especially for older adults or anyone with mobility issues Needs improvement”

“It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat……

“It was nice to have a place to gather instead of spending the money for a hotel, but it wasn't as comfortable. I understand that you don't want to ruin furniture when you are renting out to people, because you just never know, but there really wasn't any comfortable seating in the den and everything is so low. “We enjoyed our stay here very much. Loved how we could easily walk to Boothbay. Access to the kayaks was a huge plus too. If there was one bit of advice I could offer, it would be to reduce the amount of furniture in the cabin. I believe there were 15 chairs within.”

“E&F is pretty unusual in that there are two cottages joined by a deck system. Our ten days there two couples anchored the trip staying the full time and we took the cottage with two bedrooms. Others came and went and we put them in the other cottage. Worked perfectly! The deck is the gathering place we did all of our socializing there. We’d be at large regatta parties and say “let’s go back to our deck”, it was that nice. We also brought our 19’ center console up and launched it at the town……

“We loved our time at Bay Cabin! The house offered everything we could want for our vacation with two young kids. Close proximity to the beach at Barrett’s Park and downtown was so nice. It was great to be able to cook at home when needed and to be able to walk to restaurants and stores in less than ten minutes. Our older son asked if we could just move in and stay forever. Highly recommend and hope to stay again!”

“The cabin was wonderful. It was a little chilly the first night. But Peter was great and brought a couple of heaters over. The cabin has a wood burning fireplace. Peter supplied a lot of wood for it. Which we did use it all. Sorry Peter. Great location for visiting the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and Boothbay. And we got to see the Northern Lights with the naked eye! The highlight of the trip! Would definitely stay again! ”

“Our party of 8 enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped and stocked to get you started. Conveniently located to town and the Botanical Gardens. Plenty of outside space for kids to run around and play. It has a beautiful view of the cove but is very rocky. This didn't stop us from hunting hermit crabs and catching fish. The house is old but that gives it the Maine charm. ”

“Great location, very easy to get to harbor, and a great view. Check-in was easy, not having to keep a key on you was also nice. The house was very cozy, perfect for doing puzzles or drinking coffee in the morning. Three adults stayed for a holiday weekend in December to go to Gardens Aglow. I would stay here again. Everything was easy to use. The street is quiet. Generously sized space.”
