“The Piute Trail Lodge was prefect for our weekend getaway with our 15 and 17 year olds and our two dogs. The location was perfect and within a quick drive or walk to the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our dogs watching the wild turkey in the mornings. ”

“Our family stayed here for a weekend fishing trip to Lake Cuyamaca (about a 10 minute drive from the cabin). It was absolutely beautiful and so tranquil. Our family had everything we could ask for in terms of supplies and “at home” comforts in the cabin. The host was great and very responsive. We especially enjoyed sitting out in the patio area with the old California oaks and the other pretty trees throughout the yard. Make sure you go out and drink in the starry skies at night, too. “We had such a great time at Cabin Fever. The place is really charming, with a cozy feel and just the right mix of vintage and modern touches. Everything was super clean and felt well taken care of. “The beds were comfortable. We loved the coziness and warmth of the fireplace. The stained glass windows are so pretty and the views are gorgeous. The cleaning crew could do a better job. There was a pull-out cutting board that hadn’t been cleaned prior to our arrival and water was pooled at the bottom of the fridge with pieces of food floating in it. We stayed for one week and there was only 1 roll of paper towels provided, 1 additional roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extra trash……
