“We have been staying at Apple Valley Villas for 11+ years and we have stayed in about 9 different units. This one is by far my favorite and mainly because of the kitchen. “Check in went smooth, dead mouse found in cabinet. Cleaning crew should have smelled and found this rather easily. AC did not work at all. Refrigerator did not work but freezer did. Property manager could not repair in a timely manner so after spending our first day of vacation dealing with these issues the front desk manager moved us to a more than adequate replacement property. “Our condo was very comfortable but a little hard to find at first. We arrived well after dark so finding the condo was a little hard. But once there checkin was great, beds were comfortable and place was pretty clean. We did find cobwebs around the lights and some celaphane wrapping under one of the beds (eek) but over all a very nice place. Plan accordingly as the cell service is very spotty in the area but once in the Rubling Resort Area (pools, beach and golf) you can connect to their wi-fi.”

“Lake lure took a big hit to the storm. But this cabin had all we needed to keep us occupied during our stay. Restaurants and some shops are open. Loved how everyone is so open to helping each other. We did have an issue with someone smoking in one of the rooms next to us one night and because the rooms are set up as basically central air situation and not the individual room heating and cooling units that normal hotels have, the smoke from that room came in to our room through the vents.
