“This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return!”

“The Plainfield Cottage is a perfect getaway. We came in for a graduation and were quite busy. However, each time I stepped into the cottage, it felt peaceful, bright and clean. A great retreat to unwind and relax at. Cathy was very attentive on any needs we needed, as there were few because it was well stocked.”

“The house is super cute and in a great location. I loved walking five minutes for coffee at Mudhouse and the quick 5 min drive to vineyards and breweries. Beds were super comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here!”

We sat on the porch watching wildlife in the back. There are vineyards and breweries in all directions. We visited Monticello and even mountain top orchards. Owners were great. “Came to the area for a wedding, this space was perfect for our family. Our toddler loved running around the outdoor area and our baby loved the screened in porch area. Gorgeous views of the mountains. The property manager was helpful and easy to reach. Couldn’t recommend this house more! ”
