“The Good: Guy at check-in was super friendly and helpful on where to park our trailer. The room was small, but very homey and sort of rustic. It was very clean and bed was comfortable. The view of the river was just great and being dog friendly was critical to us as we had our pup with us. Seems like many folks staying were repeat guests who all talked w/us and each other. “Traveling through North Carolina, we found this place by just looking around on Google Maps. I am so glad we did. After booking, they called to verify the arrival time because the check-in desk closes at 5. While I thought this might be an issue because we were not going to get there until after 7 pm, they assured me it would not be and that there would still be someone on-site in case there were any issues. “I am obsessed with the property and the bus! My husband and I stayed for a night with our three toddlers while taking a night off from section hiking the AT. We all slept in the king bed in the back which was INSANELY comfortable. The hosts are a super sweet little family. Our laundry was done for a small fee very quickly. “We stayed here while we were visiting the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. We arrived in the evening, after check-in time, so they left an envelope at the door with all the information to access our room. Everything was perfect and breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday mornings was amazing. We loved it.”

“We really enjoyed our stay, the location was great and the cabin was comfortable, however the carpet in the bedrooms is pretty dated and stained. And the floor in the kitchen was sticky. All in all we enjoyed our stay and realize the difficulty of maintenance with multiple guest, so a different floor type could be considered besides carpet. ”
