“We had a great stay at the farmhouse at Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, VA! My husband & I needed rest and relaxation and the stay at Elmo's Rest farmhouse did not disappoint!! It's remote enough in the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains for peace & quiet but close enough to town (about 17 minute drive) to get to the grocery store, gas station, and very yummy Joe's Coffee Shack where I got a Caramel Machiatto everyday :) Definitely book this if you want to retreat and spend time alone or with……

“The hosts are amazing. We had a family emergency happen just prior to the original date we had booked. They were so accommodating with us and allowed us to reschedule. The weather was cold and a little rainy but the house was great and the views were breathtaking. We will definitely visit again when it is warmer to see the apple orchards and enjoy the views again. ”

“The old farmhouse has a lot of character, clearly having been added onto multiple times. While quirky inside it is a very nice accommodation with a modern kitchen and spacious bedrooms. The property was clean, well stocked with towels and had very nice linens on the beds. It was easy to find, GPS will take you right to it.We wanted a place to see the stars away from other light sources and this property delivered.
