The Expedia listing is confusing because it clearly states: "Extra conveniences in all rooms include: Rainfall showers and hair dryers". Yet my room did not include a shower or a toilet and was right across the hall from the single shared toilet. “We had a great trip. Ludmil is a wonderful host! We enjoyed the different Bulgarian pastries each morning & his chats about Bulgarian history, plus advice on where to go & how to get there. He also took us one day to Rila Monastery, a trout restaurant & Boyana Church. This was a more relaxing trip than if we'd gone on a coach tour! ”

“The ensuite room was clean and cosy with a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was delicious and healthy, made fresh each day. When we requested dinner, this was also delicious and at a good price.The location was close some lovely towns and only 2.5hrs from Sofia. Wifi had good connectivity. The hosts were very friendly, had lots of suggestions for places to see and where to eat. They catered to us perfectly. Looking forward to coming again. ”

“From the very beginning we could tell the hotel was going to be terrible, we booked a pool view room and got a dank and dark ground floor room. We stayed five nights. We complained about the room on the second day because you could hear everyone else's septic waste running through our bathroom, very loudly. The gentleman really didn't care and did nothing about it, wouldn't even change our room, just said "it's the same in every room" . Every night until 1am the children of the family who run……

“I have been going to Bulgaria for the past twenty years and the country has developed in leaps and bounds. But it has to be said that many areas of the country retain both their culture and way of life and this is true of this Hotel. Unfortunately, they have also retained standards which many, in today's world, would now find unacceptable. The rooms are basic and in dire need of upgrading, including the bathroom, no room service, limited toiletries. The Balcony, provides spectacular views across……

“Horrible, just horrible. Please stay away from this one. Dirty, staff unwilling to assist with anything. Everything is at an extra charge (spa towels, etc.). Worst bed I've ever slept in and just overall terrible. ”
