“Our host was exemplary in showing us the local area. We had a deeply moving experience at both Kataragama and Tissamaharama. Pradath is an excellent resource for All things Sri Lanka. The accommodations are first rate. Big comfortable bed. Modern shower and tub. A/C and Wi-fi work great. Excellent meals prepared. It is the perfect spot to retreat in the evening. We heartily recommend it and will hopefully return. ”

“Stayed 1 night for safari. Perfect location for early safari, you don’t have to wake so early. Staff forgot my take away breakfast but it’s fine coz it would be a simply sandwich only. Booked a Half Bord Plan as no where to eat nearby, the dinner was buffet style but not much choices of food and not taste good. “Beautiful property, the rooms were spacious and uniquely decorated and fit the jungle aesthetic. Due to its proximity to Yala National Park, we saw many wild Peacocks roaming around in the backyard. This also meant that the Safari jeep was able to pick us up on the main road easily on the way to the park. On the downside, the property was located at the end of a dirt path off the main road and was not properly marked on the map. This made it very difficult was taxi drivers to find the hotel.……

“We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive. “We had a wonderfully relaxing few days. The staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were most enjoyable. Our room was immaculately clean and the water was hot. It was lovely to be able to sit out on a balcony and read. The manager arranged a great safari to Bandula National Park and provided us with a very tasty breakfast to take with us. “Well, we should have a good experience there since it locates in the nature. But the management is poor because they charged us twice! I booked the hotel on hotels.com and paid immediately, but after coming back our country, I checked my bills and found the hotel charged one more time through my credit card!
