“It was our first time staying in a bed and breakfast! It did not disappoint! Beautiful home, so much charm and character comes through every inch of this home. Our room had a king size bed that was truly just as comfortable as our bed at home! The homemade breakfast was a 10/10. We enjoyed sitting around the dining table with the other guest, talking about life and travel. It was truly an unforgettable experience and we plan to stay again. ”

“We were passing through on a motorcycle trip. The hotel was just as described. Nothing too fancy and no interaction with anyone while checking in or out. There was a cool looking bar area but it was closed for a private party. Not many dinner choices around the area however we took a beautiful stroll along the water to the marina where we had a drink and dinner. ”

“Amazing antiques & flowers all around mansion & carriage house. They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. When we arrived Expedia hadn't notified staff (Dave & Pete) that we were coming but we had made reservations within an hour-ish before. So, our room hadn't been cleaned. We went to dinner & came back to a clean room. We really didn't like the shower, the curtain sticks to your body no matter……

“David and Inez rock! They are absolutely the finest 2 individuals my wife and I have ever met. We really enjoyed our engaging converstions with them every day we stayed at the Squirrel's Nest. Their home became ours and we were treated with kindness, grace and a really nice time that will never be forgotten! Jeaneen and I will never be able to thank you two enough for the most wonderful time we spent with you guys!”

“Lily Pad #1 was impressive. The revitalization of the space was very tastefully done. It created a spark to do the same for several of the other structures in the area that just need a lift up. Some more than others, but they are ALL worth saving! The area could have so much potential! I just wish I were younger to take on some of the projects myself! I digress...Lily Pad 1 was very comfortable and the communication with the owner was great. The only thing that may be a deterrent for some is……

“We stayed in the 3rd floor penthouse, which had an amazing view of the river and was a great fit for our family of 4. David and Inez were such sweet hosts, cooked incredible breakfasts each morning, and truly made us feel like we were staying with friends.”
