“Very impressed with this cozy cabin getaway on the beautiful White Oak lake. Dana was easy to communicate with and made our short stay so peaceful and comfortable with plush beds and fully stocked bathroom and kitchen. The view of the lake is breathtaking! It was just perfect!”

“We stayed 4 nights during Easter. It was perfect. We love the Lydia Mountain location. This was our first time at this cabin with our daughter and dog. Our favorite. We love exploring Stanardsville, Alun’s pottery place down the hill, the Shenandoah caverns, and of course, all the hikes we did. The cabin was perfect for lazy mornings of coffee and breakfast on the deck overlooking the mountains. Evenings ended with dinner, wine, and hot tub after our adventures. “We spent three fabulous days here in June/July 2024. The property itself is beautiful and in a spectacular setting. Communication with the owner was very smooth. The location is ideal for exploring the Shenandoah area and we enjoyed driving the Skyline Drive, a visit to Luray caverns and kayaking on the Shenandoah river. We came back in the evenings to eat out on the deck followed by relaxing in the hot tub and watching the spectacular sunsets. Very special memories made, totally recommended.”

“This property was an amazing cabin getaway. The views from the windows were simply stunning. It was quiet and secluded. The house has everything needed. Hiking and the national park were a reasonable drive. The town of Elkton was great with small shops and restaurants as well as anything needed like groceries. James was an excellent host. Communication was great. Overall, highly recommend staying here. ”

“Wonderful cabin in the woods near Shenandoah NP. It was lovely to hear the birds in the morning. The porch is a wonderful place for coffee. The bed was comfortable. The hosts were friendly and check in was easy. Be sure to plan ahead food wise, there aren’t restaurants or stores nearby. This was a wonderful retreat!”

“Place was great. Only issue was the pots and pans should probably be replaced. All were very rusty and hardly usable. There was a chair in the living area that the back had come separated from the seat. But otherwise was amazing.”

“This house is so cute and the view of the lake is amazing. The property has everything you need to enjoy the outdoors. My only complaint is there is not a washer and dryer and the towels were a little musty and very small. If I came back I would just bring my own towels . The host was great and attentive and great location to be able to enjoy Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. ”

“We wanted to get away from everything and stay in a beautiful mountain home where there was no traffic sounds and beautiful sights… this house provided. I will admit- we drove up the mountain to check in late at night and it is about.a 30 minute drive on unpaved roads up the side of a mountain so that was a bit jarring. But- waking up in the morning to the clouds engulfing us because we were on the top of the mountain was amazing and the views were worth it! Once we drove up and down the……

“Great place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Cabin was very clean and had great bathrooms. Host greeted us and showed us the property at the beginning of our stay and was available on site our entire stay. Will definitely try to book it again if ever in thearea again.”

“We originally reanted a different cabin. However i have physical limitations that made the booking difficult. The staff worked with us to get us a different cabin and we had a wonderful 30th anniversary vacation. ”
