“This house is a terrific location for having LOTS of outdoor adventures! So close to Crater Lake, plus various hiking and kayaking areas. It was only about 1.5 hours to the Lava Beds NM, so we took a day trip down there, as well. Being vaguely familiar with the area, we knew to do some meal planning and grocery shopping before we got to Fort Klamath. Once here, check-in was a breeze and we got all settled in. “The cabin was amazing! Very cool log cabin vibe with all of the decorations to make you feel like you're roughing it in the woods but with all the modern convenience to make it comfortable. The outdoor bathtub and grilling area were standouts. The cabin actually does have AC even though the listing says it doesn't so that was a relief for a summer getaway. We came to see Crater Lake and it was close enough to recommend it for anyone wanting to see crater along with lake activities closer by at……

“Pros: Check-in was keyless and easy. Beds were fine, kitchen was well stocked with tools for cooking. The lake views were also a draw for sure, and it was quiet. Cons: It was a hot day and the inside of the house was VERY warm (88 F). Despite what was advertised, there is NOT central AC. There is a small mobile Toshiba unit in the back bedroom, but it was off. When we turned it on it leaked and sprayed water everywhere (which someone knew, because there was a towel on the floor under it). No……

“The place was well stocked and comfortable. It was also closely located to the Wood River Reserve which mae walks and birding pleasant. The one thing I had not researched prior was the availability of restaurants in the area so I was glad thete was a Dollar General nearby.”

“This is a darling little cottage with everything you could need for a stay in Ashland. It is a quick drive from the town, but at the cottage you feel like you are out in the country! There are gorgeous hill and farm views from every window, and we were utterly charmed by the chickens and goats that grazed right outside the door. “Nice little cabin in the woods! The cabin is in a neighborhood but the houses are far apart. The only downside to the location is that it is about 45 minutes away from Klamath falls. So pick up supplies before you go. Very quiet and peaceful. ”

“This was indeed a charming property. We were intrigued by the rustic exterior, and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely, comfortable interior. It was a pleasure to be out of the downtown Ashland traffic and noise, yet it was so easy to get there when we wanted to. I would definitely stay here again.”
