“We hosted 20 guys for a golf weekend during March Madness and loved all the sport options. Everyone had their own bed and the setup was great for a big group. ”

“The setting and surrounding area were great. Good hiking; the pool looked very nice. The room could have used some updating and maintenance. The sink faucet dripped and the shower control did not work properly; it was very tricky to regulate. Rust on the towel rack. The bathroom did not appear to have any ventilation causing a great amount of moisture build up when using the shower. The bed was comfortable. ”

“The cabin was clean and in good order. Everything we needed was there . We only needed to bring ourselves and the food . The hot tub was enjoyed in the evenings after exploring the gorge all day . We hiked in three different areas of the park and came back to peace and quiet . I counted 4 cars go by for the entire stay . The only sounds were the birds singing. If ya don’t mind the drive from town , I highly recommend this cabin ”

“We liked it overall. No directions for fireplace. It may have been broken. Microwave handle was broken. Steps to loft were a bit steep for us older folks. Tough road to get up to cabin. Overall we were pleased with our stay.”

“My family had a pleasant time at Throw'n Shade. It was a quick trip to get outdoors at the Gorge, grab some pizza, then a evening at the cabin. The location is beautiful, nice view of a valley in the spring with no close neighbors. Just enough for what we were looking for.”

“Our stay was great! The hot tub was the best part! Did read about the steep road and driveway ahead of time and we drove our truck. It was doable. We went hiking at Red River Gorge and did the Gorge underground. Very neat and adventurous.”

“We enjoyed the cabin it was a super cute place. My only complaint was when we arrived the couch was torn up and there was cookies all over it. Other than that it was a great place, close to everything you want to experience ”
