Hadn't intended to eat in the restaurant but having ventured into Workington and been unable to find anything inviting, we were squeezed in even though it was a busy Friday evening. Glad we did as the food was very good. Only negative of the stay was the road noise but that was the compromise for getting a lovely mountain view.”

“Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.”

“Hall is looking tired on the outside with visable broken and boarded up windows at the very top. Room was dated, we stayed in the Munro studio, no windows that open and looks directly onto the back entrance so needed to keep blinds down otherwise people could see straight in as this is a ground floor room. Opposite kitchen so could smell the cooking. What made this stay was the lovely staff and evening meals were great”
