“We loved our stay at Château de Nazelles! Everyone was so welcoming and kind (including sweet Poppy!) and the setting cannot be beat. Just tucked away enough to feel like a private oasis but an easy and quick drive into Amboise, which was a perfect home base for exploring the rest of the Loire. Hope to be back soon, especially when the stunning pool is open! ”

“We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well. One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident……

“Apart from we had a problem checking in when we arrived late at 7:30pm and the staff are off from work already. We called the hotline and the problem is solved by the patient staff teaching us how to do self-check-in step by step. and later on we found out that they have actually sent us an email beforehand teaching how to self-check-in. so, dont forget to check your email if you gonna arrive after 6pm. everything else is perfect! clean and neat and tidy, as comfy as your own home! highly……

“Quiet hotel with an excellent staff. We used La Maison Rabelais as our base of operations as we discovered the Loire Valley region. One of the things was that it was just five minutes from a river trail where I could do my morning workout.”

“Although the hotel locates at the other side of the river (city centre), it only took 15 mins walk through the bridges to the city centre. It is still very convenient and I can enjoy a quiet stay. Staff are helpful, nice and friendly, and speaks very good English and I found no difficult to communicate with them and got all the information I needed. The room is just ok large enough for me to open my two very large luggage, but still clean and comfort. Overall it is good value for money. I……

“Le lieu est superbe, au calme, en pleine campagne et avec un cachet fou ! La chambre décorée avec goût et le lit confortable. Notre hôte était très sympa, disponible, arrangeant. Une remarque pour le petit déjeuner. Dommage que les œufs des poules du manoir soient en supplément. Il n’en reste pas moins que le petit dej est copieux. Encore merci pour ce séjour !”

“Manoir du Parc is an exceptional hotel. It is a beautiful mansion with lovely high-ceilinged rooms and perfect French decor. It has a small private park and swimming pool. The owners, Gaelle and Bruno, are welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect—easy walking distance to the Loire and tourist center without the bustle.”
