“Great spot. The only drawback was that the edges of the carpet in living room are very slippery. But that’s as easy fix. Good place, good hosts. Would stay again ”

“Our family throughly enjoyed our week at this beautiful property. Between the pool, hot tub, and lake our children and grandchildren had a great time. It’s a great location, close to marinas, restaurants and the town of Moneta. The home is well appointed and had everything we needed.On the downside the location is not safe for running or riding bikes because the road shoulder is so narrow. This can be alleviated by driving to the state park. The property advertises 17-20 people but there are 17……

“Loved the old school vibe. View was fabulous. Loved the boat dock. This house was well equipped with everything needed. Both sets of stairs were a bit treacherous - but we managed! Home was as described - except for the beds and bath- (only 1 shower, 1 bathtub). I was also unaware there was a king bed on this property- and we did not bring sheets for that one. I hope this property is updated with actual beds and needed bedding. I will definitely come back with more friends! ”

“Fully stocked and clean..away from city noise but proximity to restaurants, grocery, within 5miles. Peaceful setting and if you like wild life the deer are plentiful. We loved seeing the horses everyday!! We would highly recommend staying here. ”

“This house and property was so peaceful. The woods were fun to explore during the day, but at night- the fire pit, fireflies and hot tub were delightful! The proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking PLUS the town’s restaurants and antique shopping made for the perfect vacation for all age groups. Very comfortable for 6-8 adults. Keep in mind, this is a 100 year old house meant for relaxing and enjoying the out-of-doors. No fancy extras, but comfy beds, very clean, and plenty of……

“As a solo traveler I got the peace and serenity I was looking for. The view of the lake from different rooms in the house was breathtaking and soothing. Lots of wildlife and you can watch the fish jumping in the air. The kayaks and the paddle board enhance d the feeling of being one with the lake. My dog loved to lie on the upper deck and watch nature and the deck was completely fenced making it safer for my furry friend. ”

“Staying at the Tranquil Retreat has been so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Plenty of space for 3 adults and we really appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the wonderfully comfortable beds. Great, well stocked kitchen, very easy to prepare a meal and nice to have a washer and dryer. This is our second stay here to visit our daughter, and we will certainly be back.”
