“This house is was just perfect for our family week getaway. Check in was easy, house was clean and slept way more than we thought. Right off the main lake it is convenient for us to take our boat to Bridgewater, State Park and even over to the mountain to swim. The paved walkway down to the dock was great so we didn’t have to worry about steps. Highly recommend this property and we will most likely book it again next year!”

“Staying at the Tranquil Retreat has been so much nicer than staying at a hotel. Plenty of space for 3 adults and we really appreciated the upgraded amenities, including the wonderfully comfortable beds. Great, well stocked kitchen, very easy to prepare a meal and nice to have a washer and dryer. This is our second stay here to visit our daughter, and we will certainly be back.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this property, which was situated right on the lakefront. The house was clean and the rooms spacious. There were baby gates on both stairs, which is great if there are younger children. The rooms and living spaces were also split over three levels which gave a lot of privacy. The host responded quickly to our questions. Overall I would recommend this property.”

“The property was beautiful with a great pool and dock. All ages (84 yrs to 7 months old) enjoyed hanging out by the pool. Playing pool, or sitting out on the covered deck playing games and music. Location was convenient to restaurants and grocery store.”

“Our whole family - our three sons, their spouses and children - spent a spectacular week together at Hideaway Ridge on Smith Mountain Lake. The home, setting, facilities, and location enabled us to spend lots of time together while also providing spaces for children to play separately from adults visiting. The management team is responsive and delightful. A great place for a family vacation. ”

“We had a group including my family of three, my wife’s two sisters and their significant others. We had tons of room to spread out and loved relaxing on the large deck with lake views and the floating dock provided hours of fun swimming in the lake and catching small fish off the dock. I brought my 21’ Pontoon which tied up nicely to the dock cleats! The cove is nice and quiet and doesn’t receive tons of wakes in the little corner. The king bed in the basement was comfortable! I slept great……

“The only drawback I was unaware of prior to the stay was there would be no towels. The 10 min drive to Food Lion is convenient if you forget anything. Everything else was great as described, excellent communication with Jack prior to stay and flexibility for check-in. Inside the home was clean, no sign of any pests during stay. I would absolutely stay again and recommend for others.”
