“Peaceful serene, alpha waves from the nearby ford waterfalls over the access road was quite pleasant from the side wooden porch. Saw Black bears 4 out of 6 days we stayed. Jacuzzi on the side porch made for many nice times and a great vacation.”

“Great little cabin! We went for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in which we have attended for years now. Cabin in a great area secluded. This was our second time renting this cabin. Clean and all in order. ”

“It was exactly what was needed. We run a small farm and needed privacy and quiet. We got that and more. We did shopping and sightseeing first so once we got on the mountain we stayed Hot tub was perfect for repeat dunking. Every thing was exceptionally clean with even an included gift basketWe would definitely stay here again”

“The house was incredible and had everything we needed for our family of 5 plus two pups. The view from the deck was stunning and great to drink coffee on in the morning and sip bourbon on at night. Kids had a blast in the game room, even though they couldn’t beat me in shuffleboard! Mike and Rachel were fantastic hosts with great communication. Would highly recommend this house for your next trip. And if you do go would also recommend tubing down the French Brd River at Mad Co Tubing. Our kiddos……

“Great cabin, clean, plenty of space for a family of 6. Had all the amenities that make this a “home away from home”. As others have stated in their reviews, the cabin is in a remote location, high up a mountain and you need to travel up a steep and windy road to get there. I would not recommend driving on this road when it is dark. Highly recommend it and would stay here again. ”

“Wow! A cabin in the middle of the woods on the side of a mountin with a creek. Away from everything but close to everything. Not far from Black Mountain. Close to I-40 for farther adventures. Easy walk along a fresh mulched path to the cabin. Slight hill at the end. Bring a foldable wagon to make toting luggage, groceries, ect. easier. ”
