“My family has a beach house in Waldport and several family members were coming down for Memorial day. We needed extra room so we rented the Mermaids Lair. We really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed all the mermaids.The neighborhood was amazing so quiet and so close to the beach. It was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this house for families and froends.”

“It was warm when we walked in, that’s always a plus! Although it was pretty wet because my glasses steamed up. You should definitely have a dehumidifier running full-time in the living room as well as the bedroom this time of year. We got hail and intermittent heavy rains all weekend! Both propane heaters got it really hot and quick making it very comfortable after a long day elk hunting in the freezing rain. The property manager got back with me very fast because I thought there was a missing……

“Wanted to get the dogs to the coast. Nice set up and location for the pups. Only drawback for us was Otter Rock and surrounding beaches were very busy for week days. Too much stimulus for my dogs.. and me. ”

“Our family needed an unplugged getaway and Yachats was perfect. The house was more than we needed, but also perfect. We parked the day we arrived and had no need to drive until our departure. If you are looking for an immaculately clean house, this place is not for you. There are lots of beautiful beams and high ceilings, so lots of opportunities for spiders and cobwebs. Our family is okay with this, but not everyone is. We loved our stay”
