“Great location for ice fishing and snowmobile riding. Up North Lodge restaurant/bar is only minutes away with a great menu selection.We rented two cabins which were perfect for our party of 8. Kitchens are a bit small, but have everything you need for cooking meals. Host was great to work with.”

“Cozy, clean and welcoming. A private beach is just steps from the back door at this amazing lake home. Be sure to have your camera close by for amazing and picturesque snapshots! Loons, Eagles, Merganser ducks, geese, Nuthatches, Flickers, foggy mornings, colorful sunsets and the ever changing water of the lake make for a nature lover’s paradise. Bring your groceries for meals and stay in, you won’t want to leave. We’ll be back! ”

“This was a nice cabin. There are five cabins on the owners' property. The owners had good communication but were otherwise unobtrusive. The main hot tub is shared with cabins 1-4, but cabin 5 has its own private one. Most importantly I took my rescue pitbull and had no issues with the owners or other guests. Some properties have a lot of dog rules so I was pleased to see this property was more lenient.”

“We had an awesome weekend getaway at Cabin 5. The hot tub was nice after an evening of fishing. My husband caught 7 fish and I caught my first fish! The shower was a little tricky at first but once you figure it out it makes sense. The sink water pressure wasn’t that great but we didn’t have much use for it since we didn’t have much dishes nor needed it to cook with. If so, you just have to be patient . The beds are super comfy and overall cabin 5 was just perfect for the two of us plus our pup.……

“Owner is a great guy. He responded to text right a way. Every thing was great. I had only one minor issue the driveway is grass and wasn't mowed. My feet got wet coming and going. I will use this properly again. ”

“Roose's Roost was the perfect home base for our UP adventures! The house was immaculately clean, well maintained, and outfitted with all of the items to make it feel like home. The deck was amazing- we enjoyed the swinging chair and the gas firepit especially. The lake was beautiful and deep enough to jump off the end of the dock. Our hosts were very helpful and easy to get in touch with. If we ever travel back to the UP, we would definitely book Roose's Roost again! ”
