“I had a great time! The room was neat and clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive, even asking about my preferred cleaning schedule. I really enjoyed the facilities, especially the gym and pool. The local area also had excellent cafes and dining options.”

“I loved the way this older historic hotel has been renovated. The original floors, lobby and main rooms remind you of its history while the rooms, bedding, and amenities are up to date. The music in the various rooms changes creating an ambiance reminder of the old mixed with the new. Staff is very very attentive. I loved seeing the children at the pool, playing on the extensive lawn and all dressed in their resort casual for dinners. It reminded me of all the special reasons families love this……

“The Whitney Inn is a charming and cozy retreat in a stunning mountain setting. Our room was perfectly equipped for a restful night’s sleep and a refreshing start to each hiking day. The on-site Shovel Handle Pub served excellent food and cocktails, and the outdoor fire pits with Adirondack chairs and complimentary marshmallows added a warm, welcoming touch. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and rustic charm.”

“This property was amazing! We booked a king room in the saltbox with a jacuzzi room. The room was clean, the bed was soo comfortable and the jacuzzi was massive! also the water pressure in the shower was so strong! Lastly, this inn has a history of being haunted and we can’t wait to come back and possibly experience it for ourselves! ”

“Staff were so great and helpful! My husband ended up needing Tums and they didn’t have any for sale in the office so the staff gave us some they had purchased for themselves! Great parking for hiking mt Washington. Will def be back and will recommend to others. ”

“We stayed here to ride our bikes on the presidential rail trail in Gorham and float on the Saco. North Conway is a great place to be close to nature and still be near restaurants and necessities. The Golden Gables was located in a spot that is easy to get in and out of. The grounds and pool were refreshing after spending the day bike riding. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet at night. We were on the first floor so we could house our bikes at night. It was a great value. ”
