“We stayed at the newly renovated motel, where owner David was friendly and helpful. The charming motel was perfect for our last-minute trip to enjoy the foliage at Mt. Greylock. They served spiked apple cider, a wide selection of local beers, and canned seltzer at their bar. We went to a cozy old-fashioned restaurant just 10 minutes away for dinner. They also offer a fire pit with wood and s'mores at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, we were too tired to enjoy it after our hike, but the motel……

“I was pleasantly surprised in how well well-maintained this property was. Beautiful decor, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable bed and linens. “Nothing bad about inside the room (108) -- but it was next to the hallway to the stairs to the second floor, so heard occasional foot-stomps during the evening. No other noises, though. Spatious double sinks, very unusual. Huge, firm bed. The manager has quite the beautiful flowers and vegetables garden as landscaping, including some exotic trees. Obviously this will vary by season, but Coreopsis verticillata (yellow/orange/red) was in full glory, with Cosmos coming on, among other things. Also……

“Worst motel ever. the front desk lady is extremely rude. It was a very cold night, the bed blanket on bed is thin, 10:30 PM. I came to front desk to try to get another thicker blanket, but nobody was there. I nocked the door, ring the bell, called the phone. Nobody answered. Until 11:00 PM, she came out from inside. She was very unhappy that I disturbed her. She said there is no additional blanket in the motel. What ? You run a motel business and no blanket? I questioned her,  And she changed……
