“Christophe and Christine the property managers were very friendly and helpful in suggesting restaurants and chateaus to visit. The breakfasts each morning were incredible: fresh baked croissants and bread, fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs made to preference. The location nestled in among the vineyards was picturesque and very quiet. The total experience far exceeded our expectations and I hope we can make a return trip.”

“Caroline and Lucy were amazing and very helpful. Great location though if you drive take Caroline’s directions to where cars park for free. Also take their recommendations for wine Chateau’s to visit, local attractions, and restaurants. Many thanks St Emilion and we’ll be back!”

“The Chateau du Palanquey is an amazing property. There are only a handful of rooms and it is very secluded. The owners helped us out with wonderful local restaurant recommendations and a brilliant wine experience. I cannot recommend this property more highly. It was magnificent. ”

“Freshly renovated but still very old rooms. Squeaky floors, doors that have to be closed by key that not working very well. Advertised parking, not on site, you have to walk up and down the large stone road to get to the hotel. Food interesting but pricey. ”

My husband and I stayed for three days on our honeymoon, and after a rainy week in Paris, our stay at the Maison Mulato was a breath of fresh air. “We didn’t stay at the property although we had booked it. It was difficult to find and the signage once we did arrive to the correct place was not clear. On. Pointing this out to the owner he took great offence rather than accepting a little feedback. He accused us of not arriving on time, when no time had been agreed, yet we were there at 4:30pm when arrivals were from 3pm. I won’t go into the rest of the conversation, but we left to find alternative accommodation. As this place had good……
