“Our stay here was amazing. The place itself is very welcoming and homey, with lots of natural light and comfortable seating and bedding, along with vibrant decor. Cole was an amazing host! He left a personalized note with some chocolates for our check-in, and made sure to give us privacy for our stay. He provided a binder with clear and concise explanations of house rules, extra amenities, and useful info (with pictures of his adorable dog!). Above all, he was incredibly attentive and generous!……

And the location is near downtown which was nice.We didn't hear anything from our host during our trip.But you are in the basement, and so you will hear foot steps above you, along with the dog running around, and the TV. All are expected in a lodging.My wife did not like as much from the start. I guess I didn't tell her that this was a basement apartment, maybe I didn't read the listing……

“I spent a week at this newly renovated property and it exceeded my expectations! Everything was modern and state of the art...From the new kitchen appliances, to the huge TV and audio system, I had everything I needed to be comfortable and relaxed. The bathrooms were great, with rain-style shower heads and plenty of real, fluffy towels. As it was just me staying here, there was an entire second bedroom that went unused. “I’ve stayed in many short term rental properties and this was, hands down, one of the very best. The words “cute” and “cozy” best capture the essence, but the Captain’s Quarters is so much more. It’s small, but perfect for up to a couple (comfy queen bed) plus, perhaps, one sleeping on the couch. The host is amazingly kind and responsive to communications. Street parking is very close, easy, and free. The WiFi works well. If I needed to, I could’ve worked on my laptop here. We will,……

“Really nice cottage. Great location. Quiet. Langley is fun. Would go go back, but: I booked with VRBO, then got handed off to Vacasa as the property manager. Way more hoops to go through than any other VRBO booking I've done. They were responsive, but demanding. Maybe good for the owner, a pain for me. Next time I book with VRBO and get handed to Vacasa I will cancel. The cottage is really nice. ”

This property gives you an absolute front row view of Useless Bay on Double Bluff that does not disappoint! THINGS TO KNOW IN ADVANCE!!!We loved our stay, but this property, but it may not be the best choice for those with mobility issues! This home is literally perched on Double Bluff which gives you incredible views, but this requires that you climb up 54 stairs from the beach……
