“My husband and I stayed here on our way back to Long Island after a family wedding. The house was very clean and just right for the two of us. A little hint going forward, pick up any food you need at LaPlanta. There are only small markets close to the house and are quite pricey. If you are looking for a relaxing leave the world behind place to stay, this is the place for you.”

“A gorgeous property perfect for a quiet getaway from the city noise. The cottage is very charming, and perfect for two people. Very clean, accommodating, private and peaceful. The private beach is beyond charming and the local spots are amazing. We recommend the frying pan and highly HIGHLY recommend the spider hall farm stand (get the apple cobbler). Nonetheless the cottage is truly amazing and a perfect get away. ”

“The Red Oyster House (ROH) is just as charming as can be. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the details and have provided many amenities, both small and large. Bathrooms are well-appointed with supplies and, most importantly, lots of hooks! The kitchen is quite small and not great for cooking large, complicated meals, but it is well-equipped. “The recently updated Blue Heron Cottage was neat and clean and the beds were truly comfortable. The cottage is just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Colonial Beach. The attractions at Westmoreland State Park, including Fossil Beach, are a short drive away.”

“This was perfect! We wanted to get away from the city and unwind with our teenage son and two dogs. The two dogs had been arranged ahead of time with the owner’s permission.The cottage was clean. It was well equipped with all the kitchen items you might need. There was a K-cup machine, a regular coffee pot, a dishwasher, a full-sized fridge, a range, a microwave, and an oven.
