“The Maplewood Lakehouse is the PERFECT spot to gather with friends and family! The home itself is huge and inviting, but it's location to the town of Newport for gas, groceries, and take-out make it really stand out. This home has SO many bedrooms to accomodate our large group. We really appreciated having spaces to both be together (multiple living rooms, the game room/garage, and the kitchen/dining spaces) as well as the many bedrooms to have quiet space to recharge as well. “We came up for our daughter’s wedding and needed a spot to relax and reenergize between setting up, decorating, rehearsing and the big day. SugarMaple provided just that. We had my son and his girl and his best friend and his girlfriend with us and the accommodations were stellar. The view was beautiful! Thank you!! -DMB ”

“We stayed here for family weekend at UMaine, as we wanted to be able to have a homemade family meal with our son. The place was clean and the beds were very comfortable. A light over the front door would be helpful when returning after dark, but that was the only negative. We would stay there again!”

“The house was nice, newer updates and a step up from the typical lake rentals in Maine. The main floor has a nice kitchen, living room, dining, master bedroom and full bath. Wish the upstairs had more than a loveseat for gathering and watching tv. The downstairs is big, has a bedroom, living area, and half bath. The, property was nice except the construction in front of the house that we weren't told about till the day we arrived. It was understandable that it needed to be done but wish we were……

“Very nice! Spacious, lots of rooms and very clean. The sunset was amazing. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. When I got the address a few days before our stay the address was listed 314.....unfortunately we drove to the very end of a long pitted, dirt road. Turned around. Luckily I had a photo of the house and we figured out the the number was 34, NOT 314. A bit of confusion.”

“My husband and I absolutely loved this location. The view is spectacular and the property is immaculate. I would caution anyone traveling with older adults or very young children, there are a lot of stairs—in the house and down to the water. My father in-law claimed climbing up from the lake to the house was equivalent to climbing the Eiffel Tower. (It’s not, but you get his point.) We would stay again in a heartbeat!”

“This property is incredible. It's relaxing, it's clean, its beyond comfortable and cozy. Carrie, the property manager is AMAZING to work with! We even utilized candid photography. Everyone there is so pleasant and kind and totally non intrusive at all. We're deciding to do it annually now!”
