“The host, Annalise was very warm and welcoming. Great location. There is a restaurant/bar next door with live music and great food. Although there is a restaurant, there is still plenty of peace and tranquility. The timing of the noise is just right. The size of the unit works - not too big, not too small. I like the touch of the bathrobes, not everyone in Belize provides them, but they should. It's so convenient for the climate when transitioning between showering and dressing.”

“The design of the studio is quite unique and it took some time to adjust and appreciate the architectural uniqueness of the design. It makes one feel as if they may be in a submarine under the ocean and has a beautiful view of the lagoon. The shower was a great size, with plenty of hot water, but the window was also in need of repair. The picture in the advertisement of the view is actual. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. “Very unique location for a home to rent. Almost all others in the area is hotels. On the boardwalk and walkable to a lot of restaurants and bars. Keyless entry, that manually locks. Furniture was not clean. Shower burning hot, but there is an outdoor shower. ”

“Perfect location, their is a supermarket just next door. The saff is very helpfull and friendly. The only thing I would add is a place to unpack your clothes. The property has no storing nor hangers for your clothes. In the bathroom there are no towel hooks which could be nice to have. “We rented 2 villas on the 3rd floor. One was very clean and well equipped with all the kitchen utensils. The other was not as clean, and the dryer was not working. The dishes were too big for the dishwasher. It had a poorly equipped kitchen, and we had to use the utensils from the other apartment. Most towels in both are outdated, need changing. But overall, nice vacation villas for 4 nights. ”

“Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!”
