“I wanted to visit Mendocino with my partner, I planned a surprise weekend getaway and I found this gem! It’s just outside of Mendocino so all the trails were only 10-15 minutes away. The property was the perfect size. It was cozy and clean and exactly what I was looking for. Ann was the sweetest! She made us feel at home, offered to use her larger kitchen for some steaks I wanted to cook the first night. There was a small fridge and freezer that was perfect for the snacks and wine we brought……

“My friends and I stayed for a weekend to attend another friend's wedding. The place was clean and exactly what we needed. The only downside was that the bed off of the kitchen only had a curtain between the bed and the kitchen, but that was clearly known form the description of the property in the advertisement. All in all a good place to stay with friends for a weekend.”

“This is the perfect getaway place, right on the Mendocino Art Center campus with gardens around. The space is a good size, nicely furnished, and check-in and check-out are as easy as could be.”

“We had such a lovely time in this unique vacation rental! Staying in the old lighthouse was very charming and access to the roof with views was perfect for a morning cup of coffee. This is the kind of place I always hope for when looking on vrbo - character, charm, and also easy access. The room was smaller than anticipated, but with just the two of us we didn't mind at all. The tub was an EXCELLENT PLUS and great for relaxing at the end of the day. I will be recommending this room to all my……

“The property is rustic and quiet, with beautiful trees to shade the private porch. The listing was exactly as pictured and described, and thoughtfully appointed. Communication with the host was prompt and the directions provided were easy to follow. The house is in a rural location with the tiny coastal town of Elk about 10 minutes away. We just stayed two nights and if I find myself in the area again, I would absolutely return to this spot.”

“The photos do NOT do it justice. It is an art gallery with fantastic furnishings. Perfect to relax in and with a large desk to work at. Did I mention a fully stocked kitchebn and laundry room. I will be back. Location location location = Westside Ukiah (I am almost hate to write this review as it may alert too many folks to this great place.)”

“Spectacular views of the ocean. Cute little studio room with all amenities. The kitchen. Was great, full fridge, gas stove, shower, ceiling fan and good air flow. The owner is a retired construction contractor so the place is nice. We loved the conversation starter questions left for us which we used instead of watching TV”

“The Mendocino art center is wonderful. We loved being in town and so near the ocean. We loved our little apartment. The only thing I would request is that the outdoor lights are super bright, for them to be turned off at night. They’re not gentle lights. They are very bright, LED blue lights. Even though we had curtains, the lights came in from all around and made the room pretty bright at night. We stayed for two nights, and both mornings around 5:00 AM, somebody banged around in the shed below……
