“Tucked away in the charming village of Damariscotta, Maine, "Nature's Nook" was the perfect home base for our adventure. Nestled in a quiet, wooded neighborhood on the north side of town near Highway 1, this lovely home put us in the heart of everything we love about Maine. Our family of six were comfortable all week. Although we've never met her, Jenifer has been super easy to communicate with, and she her home has everything you could need from the kitchen, to lake toys, fire pit wood, towels... AC for the hotter times. It's literally perfect. We couldn't ask for more. My daughter made a surprise birthday cake... they even had the bundt pan she needed! Only minutes from a great fish market, (Hallowell) the grocery store, local shops with baked goods, ciders, beer wine...I……

“Lovely updated older home. Excellent kitchens (yes - two!!), comfortable bedrooms, nice bathrooms - one with charming claw foot tub/shower. Very comfortable couch, sitting from and dining area for six. Marvelous screened in porch with ceiling fan. On a dead end street perfect for walking dogs. Close to Damariscotta. Responsive host. Clean charcoal Weber grill. Dishwasher, free laundry machines.”

“The house has good size rooms. The house is hot on hot days - definitely needs more ceiling fans or some AC units and/or box fans for air circulation. Screened in porch is very nice. Not our definition of lake front (would call it lake house) and the water at dock very shallow so not boat friendly other than kayaks/canoes. Lots of lily pads and water weeds. Quiet cove except when nearby camp going on but happy noises with that but louder. ”

“This home has it all! Small but tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, the space is perfect for a family of 4 or 5. Depending on the time of year or weather, the small bunkhouse on property is an adorable place for a couple extra people to sleep too. Dock, kayaks, paddle boards and all the gear made for great water fun. The lake was so peaceful. Hot tub and fire pit were a relaxing way to end the day! There is minimal storage space in the kitchen, which meant washing dishes after each meal……

“We stayed 3 night for the Ironman race in Augusta. It was perfect for a family of 4. Kids loved the lake and paddle board. We make s’mores by the water. The brewery was close and Augusta was 11 min away. The place is clean and quiet. No AC unit in the kids bedroom but they slept fine in July. ”

“Amazing house with plenty of space for our extended family (9 people). Loved the living room, deck and yard for family to spend time together. Kids loved the bedroom with 4 single beds. AC worked great throughout the house during a hot July week. Lake was clean and dock was great for swimming and floating on tubes. Would definitely stay again. ”
